My Favorite Holiday is happening today, and I couldn’t be happier.
The reason it’s my favorite holiday? There are many, but let me keep it to just a few.
- It’s a day when everyone takes time to reflect on what is important in their lives. Just perusing social media this morning, it is so much fun to see all the ‘Thankful’ posts. The amount of positive posts is amazing.
- It’s a day that takes some preparation for dinner, whether you are hosting a meal, or attending one. If you are only attending, the pressure is on to bring something extraordinary. If you are hosting, the pressure is on to have a great presentation. This really just means, we all take the time to plan, prepare, and enjoy all the hard work that goes into the meal.
- It’s a day to just spend with friends and family. Time is what is important, and spending time with the people we love and appreciate is something we don’t do often enough.
I am Thankful for all the things that others are Thankful for today and every day. My family, my business, my staff, my friends… the list goes on, but it is everything that makes me the person that I am today, and for that I’m Thankful.
Enjoy your day, and extended weekend. I’m lucky enough to have a large family, and 40-50 of them will be at my home this afternoon! This is why I love Thanksgiving!
